Developing Mental Toughness: Coaching Strategies to Improve Performance, Resilience and Wellbeing by Doug Strycharczyk Intro

I am so excited to be talking about our book for the month of March. I can't believe it's almost the end of the first quarter in 2019! Oh my goodness, I hope that you guys are making progress with your action items and your goals for this year.

Back to our books, so this month we're going to be reading about a book called Developing Mental Toughness: Coaching Strategies to Improve Performance, Resilience and Wellbeing. This is a second edition book which was written by Doug and Peter. Now I do not want the word coaching to deter entrepreneurs and business owners and leaders from reading this book. This book is not just for coaches. In fact, aren't we really all coaches? I mean, if you have employees underneath you or you're a leader in your organization you are effectively coaching. Coaching is something that we do every single day whenever we're in any kind of leadership role.

The book Mental Toughness is about how effective individuals respond to stress, pressure and challenges. This edition is about how mental toughness relates to other behaviors and how it can be applied to leadership, emotional intelligence and motivation. And how we can use mental toughness to in our recruitment efforts, in our talent management and employability. I am so looking forward to reading this book because I'm sure I can use a little bit more mental toughness as I run my organizations and I hope you can as well. So I'm looking forward to reading your comments. Please comment below, share and like this video and I look forward to hearing from you. - Constance Moonzwe
